My little sister, Katey, turned 21 this past week ( I can't believe it!) We had a cookout for her on Saturday and she requested strawberry cupcakes.
I used an old family recipe (pretty sure it's my great-grandmothers) for strawberry cake, but made cupcakes instead.
Now, I'm the kind of baker that prefers good taste to good looks (sometimes they compete. fondant, for example, does not taste good). But I wanted Katey's cupcakes to look pretty.
